An Easy Recipe for Southern-style Boiled Peanuts

1 Big deep country pot

1 Cup of salt
Water

Directions:

1. Fill the pot with cold water a little more than half way.
2. Add three smoked neck bones in the water.
3. Add the salt and stir.
4. Turn the burner on high heat and bring the water to a high boil.
5. Add the two bags of peanuts.
6. Turn the burner to medium heat and cover the pot with a lid.
7. Cook dried peanuts for 4 hours. Cook green peanuts for 2 hours.
8. Check peanuts every half hour, add water if needed.
9. You will know when the peanuts are done because they will be sunk to the bottom of the pot.
10. Remove the shell and eat them hot, warm or cold. Enjoy!
